Adrian Homersham
Graphite Painting
In this Demonstration, Adrian talks about the properties of Soluable Graphite and how he uses this medium to create monocrome studies. He showed us the many his sketchbooks, of which the starting point is the monotone graphite images, that he then develops into colour sketches, preparing for the final finished painting. In this demonstration he is using a photo of a ploughed field that has very strong directional lines, to demonstrate the properties of the medium.
This moncrome image will then become the basis for the final painting demontration

Here is an example of a mono sketch being used to create a coloured sketch. A lsit of basic rules that Adrian uses to ensure his images are interesting.
